A few years ago while helping to plan my best friend's bridal shower, I made the decision that I would make the cake rather than purchase one. Although this is the one and only specialty cake that I have made in my days, I know I will continue to try my hand at cake decorating in the future.
This cake took me much longer than it looks to make, I spent a whole 8 hours baking and decorating this cake! Hope you like!

DIY Earring Storage Frame
I must have seen this idea on some website at some point, as I do not think I am this clever. This DIY earring storage frame was so simple and I think looks so elegant in our bedroom.
Since I had not started this blog when I made this, I do not have pictures of it being made, but I think you can all figure it out :)
What you will need:
-Picture frame (I purchased mine from my local craft store, but this can be done with any old frame)
-Mesh screening (found at any hardware store)
-Staple gun

"Pretty in Pink" Little Girl's Picture Frame
While at Michaels picking up the supplies for the Children's Room Letters in the previous post, of course I had to look at everything else in the store. I stumbled upon a wooden picture frame (it was only $1!) that you could paint and design all your own.
I found some other supplies around the store that would make a perfect little girl picture frame to give to my niece Molly at Hannukah.
This is how it turned out:

Children's Room Letters
A few years ago, when my first nephew was born, I attempted a DIY "Letter J" (For Jack) to be hung somewhere in his nursery. The attempt did not fail and my "future" brother and sister-in-law loved it. They now have another addition to their family, Molly, and wanted me to make one for her.
My brother and sister-in-law also recently added a new bundle of joy to their family, so I decided to make one for their son Mason, as well.
Here are some pictures :)

Zoe
This past summer, my boyfriend and I decided that we wanted a new addition to our family. After hemming and hawing over the the addition of a new puppy (Actually I was doing the hemming and hawing, my boyfriend was saying "no way, Jose...") we decided that a kitten was better suited to our current lifestyle. We love to travel and both my boyfriend and I work sometimes unusual work hours, therefore we felt that a puppy would be too much to handle at the time.
What a great decision it was, she is our little princess and loves to snuggle, exactly what I was looking for.
Without further ado, meet Zoe :)
| This was taken upon her first introduction to my boyfriend, although not a cat lover at the time, he fell in love. His opinions have since changed :) |
